Ce weekend, Janne et son team devait se rendre en Angleterre à Santa Pod pour disputer la finale de la saison de Top Fuel. Classé 5ème, Janne pouvait prétendre à la 3ème place avec une bonne course. Mais voilà, pour des raisons financières, ART a décidé de ne pas faire le voyage. La saison est donc terminée. Cette nouvelle est assez préoccupante après seulement une saison. Espérons que les choses se passent mieux l'année prochaine.

This weekend, Janne and his team were supposed to be in England in Santa Pod to compete the last race of the Top Fuel season. Currently at the 5th rank, Janne could claim the 3rd rank with a good race. But for financial reasons, ART decided to don't travel. The season is over. Samedi, Janne a remporté la qualification avec un temps canon de 4.0447s et une vitesse de pointe de 473.27km/h. Pour la course, le but était d'aller le plus loin possible et pourquoi pas de remporter la compétition. Mais durant le premier tour, Janne a perdu contre Micke Kagered. Grande déception.

Du 23 au 26 août, les pilotes de dragsters vont concourir sur la piste suédoise de Tierp. La pluie risque de jouer les troubles fêtes. Espérons que les Top Fuels passent entre les goutes.

La piste était tellement dangereuse que les organisateurs ont préférés annuler les courses de Top Fuel plutôt que de risquer la sécurité des pilotes. Janne s'était qualifié le samedi avec le 8ème et dernier temps (6.836s/284.82km/h).

The track was so dangeerous that the organizators had to cancel all the Top Fuel races to preserve the security of the pilots. Janne qualified on Saturday with the 8th and last time (6.836s/284.82km/h).

Janne et son équipe participeront dès vendredi 10 août aux NitrOlympiX à Hockenheim (Allemagne). Janne commencera les qualifications vendredi à 11h22 (à noter la précision allemande!) et à 15h52 pour la 2ème session. Samedi, la 3ème séance de qualification aura lieu à 11h22 et la 4ème à 15h52. Dimanche, place à la compétition! Les quarts de finale se dérouleront à 10h55, les demi finales à 13h50 et la finale à 16h50.

Janne and his team will particiapate from Friday August 10th to the NitrOlympiX in Hockenheim (Germany). Janne will run the qualification on Friday at 11:22 (look at the Germany accuracy!) and at 15:52 for the 2nd session.On Saturday the 3rd qualification run will be at 11:22 and the 4th at 15:52. On Sunday: the competition starts! The quarter of final will be at 10:55, the semi final at 13:50 and the final at 16:50.

Après une excellente qualification le samedi (2ème place), Janne a reporté son premier duel face à Chris Andrews. En demi-finale, il s'est défait de son compatriote Risto Poutiainen. En finale, il retrouvait son ancien co-équipier de chez Eagle Racing, Antti Horto. Mais la pluie est arrivée et les organisateurs n'ont pas eu d'autres choix que d'annuler toutes les courses. Dommage. De son côté, Pasi a gagné son premier duel mais n'a pas pu disputer le 2ème. Mico n'a pas pu courir du tout et Aleksi s'est fait éliminer au premier tour.

After an excellent qualification on Saturday (2nd place), Janne won his first duel to Chris Andrews. In semi final, he drove faster than his countryman Risto Poutiainen. In final, he was racing to his former teammate at Eagle Racing, Antti Horto. But the rain came and the organizator had to cancel the races. What a pity. Pasi won his first duel but couldn't race the second one. Mico didn't have the chance to race at all and Aleksi lost his duel in the first round.

Pour Janne, tout se passe bien sur la piste d'Alastaro. Lors de la première session de qualification, il était 5ème avec un chrono de 5.486s, plus d'une seconde derrière les leaders. C'était dire la marge de progression dont il dispose. Lors de la 2ème session, il n'a pas laissé passé sa chance. Avec un temps de 4.386s, il grimpe à la 3ème place et une vitesse de 414.89km/h. De son côté, son frère Pasi s'est emparé de la première place dès la première session en classe Outlaw sur une Camaro. Mico en dragster junior a un peu plus de mal. Classé 17ème lors du premier run, il perd 2 places après la 2ème session. Aleksi Lindholm a lui aussi du mal en junior bike. Il est 12ème, avant dernier.

Pas de chance pour Janne. Dans le premier round son adversaire Anita Mäkelä n'a pas de temps (problème technique). ça signifie que Janne aurait dû être déclaré vainqueur. Mais voilà, il a grillé le feu rouge avec un temps de réaction de -0.2618s qui disqualifie l'ancien sauteur. C'était de la malchance. Mais le weekend a été un succès. Les temps de réaction en qualification ont été excellent, tout comme les vitesses. La prochaine course aura lieu à Alastaro dans 3 semaines.

Bad luck for Janne. In the first elimination round, his opponent Anita Mäkelä had no time (technical problem). It means that Janne was supposed to be the winner. Dans le premier run, il était 3ème avec un temps de 4.3313s et un incroyable temps de réaction de seulement 0.0443s! Dans la 2ème session, Janne n'a ni amélioré son temps ni sa place.
